Overview

K2, also known as Chhogori, is the second highest mountain in the world at 8,611m and is widely regarded as one of the most challenging and dangerous peaks to climb. Located in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan, K2 demands exceptional mountaineering skill, physical fitness, and mental endurance. Its steep faces, harsh weather, and technical sections make it a dream and challenge for elite climbers worldwide.

Multi Peak Expedition offers a fully organized K2 expedition, including professional expedition leadership, highly experienced Sherpa support, base and high camp logistics, and technical route fixing. The expedition combines trekking through the legendary Baltoro Glacier, glacier navigation, and high-altitude rotations leading to a summit attempt. With a well-planned acclimatization schedule and safety measures, climbers can focus on the ascent while Multi Peak Expedition handles all logistics.

The approach begins with Islamabad arrival, followed by travel to Skardu and a jeep journey to Askole, the gateway to the Baltoro Glacier. The trek to K2 Base Camp (~5,150m) passes through Concordia, Goro II, and other iconic points of the Karakoram. Multiple high camps (Camp I, II, III, and IV) are established along the standard Abruzzi Spur route to support acclimatization and summit attempts.

Summit pushes usually occur during a brief weather window. Climbers face steep ice and rock sections, the famous Bottleneck couloir, and extreme exposure near the summit. Successfully summiting K2 offers unparalleled views of the Karakoram peaks, glaciers, and valleys. K2 is a pinnacle achievement in high-altitude mountaineering.

After the summit, climbers descend carefully through high camps to Base Camp and then trek back to Askole. The expedition concludes with a celebration in Skardu or Islamabad. Multi Peak Expedition ensures safety, logistics, and a professional expedition experience for one of the world’s most iconic peaks.
