The Manaslu Circuit Trek offers a wilderness and remote Himalayan trekking experience in Nepal. It is a circuit trek that surrounds Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters), Nepal’s eighth highest mountain. It is probably the most underrated trekking route and one of the most popular restricted Treks in the Manaslu Region of Nepal.The trek has all the elements of other treks in Nepal including both Hindu and Buddhist culture, protected wildlife, rhododendrons and wild flowers, a 5000+ m pass, raging rivers, precarious bridges and stunning mountain scenery.
One of the main highlights of the trek is crossing the Larke La Pass (5,106m), the highest point on this route. From here, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II, creating unforgettable photographic moments. Along the way, the trek passes through beautiful alpine meadows, glaciers, and high mountain ridges, making it a visual feast for nature lovers and photographers alike.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can take some time to relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, you may explore the nearby streets, local markets, and restaurants. Kathmandu is rich in culture, history, and tradition, so even a short walk around the city gives you a glimpse of Nepalese lifestyle.
Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar(175km) and along the scenic Marshyangdi River. Enjoy views of terraced farmlands, rivers, and hills along the way. Overnight stay at Besisahar.
Drive from Besisahar to Dharapani(40Km). The journey passes through terraced fields, rivers, hills, and small villages. The landscape shifts from lush, subtropical terraced valleys to dense pine and oak forests.
When Trekking from Dharapani to Gowa, you will pass through historical and distinct cultural settlements, most notably Tilije (2,300 m), a traditional Gurung village featuring charming stone houses and warm hospitality.
As you approach Bimthang, you get your first magnificent, full-scale views of the west face of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. You will walk through lush, primitive rhododendron and oak forests, surrounded by the sights of local birds and rushing glacial rivers.
This day is dedicated to acclimatization. You will see stunning glacial lakes, pristine glaciers, and a panoramic 360-degree view of Himalayan peaks. The day is typically spent hiking higher to help your body adjust to the thin air before tackling the Larkya La Pass.
An early morning start for the challenging crossing of Larke Pass (5,106m). The ascent is gradual but demanding, passing glacial moraines and snowy ridges. From the top, enjoy spectacular views of Manaslu, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II.
After crossing the pass, descend carefully toward Samdo village, a traditional Tibetan-influenced settlement near the Tibetan border. This is a long but highly rewarding day.
A shorter trekking day from Samdo to Sama Gaun. The trail follows wide yak pastures and glacial rivers with magnificent views of Manaslu’s north face. Sama Gaun is a beautiful stone village with monasteries and mountain scenery.
Trek from Sama Gaun toward Manaslu Base Camp, ascending through rocky moraine paths and glacial terrain. The towering north face of Mount Manaslu becomes increasingly dramatic as you approach base camp.
After spending time at Manaslu Base Camp, we return to Sama Gaon. We visit monastries, mahendra lake, and village.
You can see spectacular mountain views, pristine nature, and rich Tibetan Buddhist. You will transition between gorgeous, deep forests of pine, oak, and rhododendrons, eventually breaking out into wider, scenic river valleys.
The trail traces the mighty Budhi Gandaki River, requiring you to cross several thrilling suspension bridges. You will pass through rural and charming highland villages like Bihi Phedi and Ghap, where you can observe traditional mountain architecture and local lifestyles.
The trail guides you through dense, subtropical groves of rhododendron, oak, and pine. As you pass through traditional villages like Philim, Sirdibas, you will notice a shift in architecture, with traditional flat-roofed, Tibetan-style wooden houses.
You will experiences natural hot springs, traditional villages and rich subtropical environments. Overnight at Machha Khola.
During this drive, you will see changing river valleys, deep gorges, and eventually the scenic, winding roads leading into the urban hub of Pokhara.
This includes visiting Peace Stupa, Pumdikot , David’s Fall, Mahendra Caves, Bat Caves and so on.
Fly back to Kathmandu. Free time for shopping or relaxing. Evening farewell dinner hosted by Multipeak Adventure.
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for onward journey. Conclude the Manaslu Trek with Multipeak Adventure with lifelong memories of Himalayas and valleys.
